The Bank Of Ichamati River
If you
thinking it will be good to go somewhere without much expenses then I tell you,
you can go to ‘TAKI’ which is nearer to the Kolkata. Taki is a small town which
is situated at the bank of Ichamati River of North 24 Pargana dist. The town is
belongs to the Basirhat sub division.
Very quiet and it is an appropriate place
to take a pause from your busy life. During this vacation you can go to visit
‘Jamindar Bari’, ‘Ramkrishna Mission’, ‘Kuleswari Kalimandir’, 300 years old ‘Jora
Shivmandir’, ‘Machranga Nadi’, and ‘Goal Patar Jangal’.

land Bangladesh is situated across the Ichamati River. So don’t miss to have a
boat ride in Ichamati River. You may introduce with a Bangladeshi during this
ride. From a long period Ichamati carries the symbol of our Bengali tradition..
You can go to visit ‘Goal Para’s Jangal’ by taking a vanriksha in rent. But
before entered this jungal you should obviously keep your photo identity card
with you, otherwise BSF will not give you permission to take enter. It will be
a great experience to walk in the road of the jungal. If you came Taki please
have the popular sweet ‘Channa’s Malpoa’. As this situated at the bank of
river, so you get many types of fish, like Rui, Shrimp etc etc.
If you will come
here in autumn season then you will get a visionary bonus, which is immersion
of Durga idols. These immersions have creating a nexus between India and
Bangladesh.
How to go:
By taking the
Hasnabad local train from Sealdah station reaching Taki station. It will take
approximate 2 hour. Then take a cycle rikha to go to the bank of Ichamati
River.
